Keeping Key West Clean: 

In an inspiring display of community spirit and environmental stewardship, Destination Catering & Events recently collaborated with the Harry S. Truman Little White House, the City of Key West, and Plogging The Keys to clean up the beautiful sidewalks of White and Eaton Streets. This initiative brought together over fifty enthusiastic volunteers, all dedicated to making Key West a cleaner, greener place. 

On a sunny day, the atmosphere was filled with motivation and camaraderie as volunteers gathered to tackle the litter that accumulated over time. The effort was nothing short of impressive, with multiple bags of trash collected, including surprising finds like bicycles and furniture! This collective action not only beautified the area but also reinforced the importance of keeping our environment clean for future generations. 

A special shout-out goes to Strunk’s Ace Hardware for generously providing parking for the volunteers, making it easier for everyone to participate in this meaningful event. Their support exemplifies the strong community ties that exist in Key West, where local businesses and residents come together for the greater good. 

To fuel the hardworking volunteers, Destination Catering & Events served a delicious breakfast spread that included hearty quiche, flavorful empanadas, fresh bagels, and plenty of coffee. The collaboration with the Truman Little White House Foundation made this culinary treat possible, ensuring that everyone had the energy they needed to tackle the cleanup. 

The location of Destination Catering & Events, nestled at 1111 Eaton Street—right at the corner of Eaton and White Streets—has never looked better. The vibrant atmosphere of the establishment, combined with the spirit of the event, made for a perfect backdrop to this community effort.
